Polarimeter
Application: By observing with the Polariscope, optical path difference appears at spots under stress, where different colors are reflected. In theory, the stress on spots mentioned above can be elaborated. However, due to the fuzzy and subjective color determination, there are only qualitative functions in practice. With Polarimeter, double refraction of transparent materials can be tested, and the value of optical path difference can be calculated through the Senarmont compensation method.Furthermore, the distribution of double refraction is tested and analyzed via polarized light. The distribution and magnitude of refraction directly reflects the distribution and magnitude of stress on materials, where the actual stress is further calculated. Machine:
