Coating punch test machine
Application: The so-called punch test machine is an apparatus used for testing cold-press deformation performance of metal panels and tapes. By pressing a ball punch towards a specimen tightly clamped between the cushion die and press die, which forms a dent till the penetrated crack appears, the test result can be obtained from measuring the depth of dent after removing the punch. In other words, the steel ball or ball punch of certain specification applies pressure onto surround specimen with 10kN of clamping force till penetrated crack on the specimen is produced. At then, the pressed depth (mm) from punch is the panel punch value, and such value is used for determining plastic deformation performance of the material. In the punch test, circular specimen (ø60) of panel or tapes are tightly held between the binder and press die. Under the force exerted from punch, plastic elongation and deformation in radial direction are produced, and the specimen extends into cylindrical cup at once, which is used to test the anisotropy of material symbolized by earing rate.
